The cutscenes don't explain shit. You have to read the datalogs to get the story. Even then, it's still shit. All about the battle/leveling system

yeah the battling system is awesome i love that shit

but yeah the story in this isnt like FF at all IMO

its like they just cut out every town you visit, and replaced it/NPCs with a amazing cutscene and then your on the battle area to the next cutscene again

well I was goin straight out commando ravager on him for the first 4 or 5 tries lol. Then I tried out switching between a medic/medic and a ravager/ravager and it worked fine. You didn't have any trouble with that guy? It seemed like a lot of people were having trouble with him.

My first impressions:

1. Not as gay as FF10X but still pretty bad.
2. Story line is fairly deep even in the first few hours.
3. Battle system annoys the shit out of me for one reason, I CAN'T HOLD X. Its fucking annoying.
4. People won't stop sending me messages like "is it cool" "do you like it" and other things that generally want me to turn off messages when I play but I refuse to do in case of impromtu GB's.
5. Other than the X button issue (which I will probably destroy the x button on my controller thanks to this game) the fighting sequences are pretty cool.
6. Camera control sucks. I can see more of my environment in Warhawk.
7. So far I can't control shit. I just got magic which allows me to gain some experience, but I still can't control who's in the party or who the leader is.


I'm hoping to get a little farther tonight. Maybe I can get to a point where I can form my own parties.

I thought this was bad for a while, but I liked it later because it forces you to learn what abilities each character has and how to effectively mix them.

Yeah that's cool. As long as I get to control my party at some point. I hate when they revamp systems and give you LESS control than you had previously. Too bad I'm a fanboy and will sit through the whole damn thing kicking and screaming if I have to.

This game is very good ,every final fantasy has been radically changed since the NES one ,i dont see why ppl are effected by it every new FF game that comes out? change is good for FF.

forget everything i said, this game is amazing once you get to Ch. 11
